THE MANUFACTURER’S SET POINT

Recently I purchased a computer. I left the store pleased with my purchase. After a few weeks, I learned that there was a problem. So I called for technical support. The attendant said, “We have to restore your computer back to the way it was when it came from the manufacturer”. He asked me for permission to “take over my computer.” He said, “Sit back and relax”. Then, right before my eyes, the cursor on my computer began to move as he corrected the problems I had been having with my computer. “I thought: This is amazing! My computer is being fixed from thousands of miles away!” Shortly, my computer was transformed and was ready to operate from the manufacturer’s set point. What a concept! I asked myself, what if each of us got in touch with and lived from our Manufacturer’s Set Point?

I remembered this incident as we began studying Discover The Power Within You by Eric Butterworth in January. His book inspires us to follow Jesus in making the discovery to see the divine within us. To me, finding the divinity within is getting in touch with our Manufacturer’s Set-point, our Original Design, our Divine Inheritance. It is getting in touch with what Jesus refers to as “The kingdom of Heaven, or the “Kingdom of God” within. It is believing that we are worthy to align ourselves with and live from our own Divinity.

Is there anything in your life that needs fixing, changing, renewing, and/or transforming? Butterworth says, “Jesus discovered His own divinity, His unique relationship with the Infinite. He discovered that through faith He could open doors into the inexhaustible Mind of God, finding renewed creativity, a flow of powerful ideas, a perception beyond the comprehension of the man of his time.” (Excerpt p9, Discover the Power Within You, Butterworth). What so wonderful about this is that Jesus said we can too!
